Join us for a Trail Ruck Benefiting Boulder Crest Foundation on Saturday, May 2!
We are teaming up with GORUCK and Boulder Crest Foundation to bring you the ultimate rucking experience! Whether you are a seasoned rucker or a complete newbie there is something for everyone at this event!
Unfamiliar with Rucking? Rucking is the act of walking with a weighted rucksack (backpack). It’s been used by militaries to train troops since ancient times, and remains a staple of infantry training today. In the civilian world this growing fitness trend is a fantastic way to improve health and fitness in a fun, social and low impact way!
This Trail Ruck Series is a set of three possible Trail Rucks for both competitive and recreational participants. Come join GORUCK Nation, meet new people who live our way of life, explore the gorgeous forest and farmland of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and help Boulder Crest Foundation provide free treatment to heroes in need.
There will be a 12K Competitive Trail Race with GORUCK, 12K Open Trail Ruck and a 6K Open Trail Ruck. The open trail rucks can be completed with or without a weighted vest!
All finishers will receive a Drink Token redeemable for a beer or NA Beverage. Check out what’s currently on tap, HERE!

Participating helps Veterans, First Responders, Law Enforcement, and their families receive treatment FREE OF CHARGE.

Sandbag & Ruck Training:
The act of exercising using bodywork, sandbag, and weighted rucksacks.
The Competition:
The challenge is simple: do whatever exercises the instructor tells you to do. Perform these exercises to standard in competition to see who can go the longest. Merely participating will not be adequate, low performers will be actively eliminated. How will you shape up?
What to expect:
Body weight exercises such as push ups, flutter kicks, and ruck squats. Exercising with sandbags. Carrying awkward objects. Sweat, dirt, and maybe some bruises.
All proceeds will benefit Boulder Crest Foundation. Exact length of event is not certain. Some may only last a few minutes. Others may endure for quite some time.
