SUMMARY:Dirt Farm Freeride: Downhill Skateboarding Event
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to team up with Mark Stapperfenne to present the 4th Annual Dirt Farm Freeride!\nAthletes will hop on their ride of choice (longboards\, street luge\, trike\, etc.) at the top of the Dirt Farm driveway and cruise on down the mountain past the vineyard\, the hop yard\, cherry trees and farmland. Spectators will be able to walk the course and watch the action\, with your beverage in hand\, of course! \nWe are excited to bring the Downhill Community onto our slice of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We offer panoramic views\, a Kitchen Workshop offering killer bites\, on-site parking\, and of course…farm fresh beer! \nSaturday\, April 11\, 2026 Event Schedule:\n9am – Athlete check-in begins at the top of the hill\n9:30am – Riders meeting at the shuttle\n10am-5pm – Descents\n5:15-6pm – Raffle drawing\, prizes\, sponsors\, group photo!\n6-8pm – Event celebrations at Dirt Farm\n8pm – Dirt Farm Closes \nAthletes wishing to register\, please contact Mark Anthony (Mstapperfenne@gmail.com)\n*Athletes must be experienced in the downhill community. Please reach out to the email listed above if you have any questions. \nSpectating is no charge. Our driveway will be closed for the event\, but you can still access the brewery via the Bluemont Vineyard driveway next door. Follow the signage to make your way to the taproom! Beer will be available for purchase in the taproom as well as along the spectating route. \nWe look forward to seeing y’all there! \nSome formalities on safety:\n-All athletes are required to register and sign waivers on-site.\n-All athletes are required to wear Helmet\, Gloves and closed-toed shoes.\n-The road will be lined with hay bales and spotters to ensure a safe descent to the bottom.\n-Athletes under 18 require a parent or guardian’s signature at registration.\n-RHVFR EMT’s are on site for emergencies.\n-This level of hill requires athletes to be experienced in slowing down and stopping while moving above 20 miles per hour. \nFor any freeride/downhill questions please reach out to Mark via the Dirt Farm Freeride facebook event or instagram page!
