(Tips below)\nMarch 21 – April 7th:  The Farm Market will be open for  you to pick up your four baby chicks & a bag of starter food for their first week on your schedule pick up date.\nJoin us for a Chick Raising Class at 11am for beginning chick program participants or those looking to brush up on their skills\, or just to visit with our Farmers.\nHave fun raising these little peeps in your home until their feathers come in and they are big enough to go outside and run around in about 6-8 weeks.  Then move them to your chicken coop. DESCRIPTION:Easter Egg Hunt \nMarch 19 – April 4\, 2026 \nAfter a long cold winter\, nothing chases away the chill like a visit to the farm!   The Easter Bunny has hidden some eggs filled with treats to enchant the children\, and we need you to help us find them!  Be sure to get advance tickets as our Egg Hunts Sell out every year! \nGrab Tickets! \nCome see our spring chicks and baby animals\, take a wagon ride\, and rejoice that it is spring! Our annual Easter Egg Hunt is a $7.99 add-on per child with your paid farm admission \nEgg Hunt Details: \n\nWe offer 2 egg hunt areas\n\nOne for children 3 and under where adults may enter with their child\nOne for children 4-10 years of age where the children hunt themselves and adults cheer then on from the fence line.\n\n\nThe Egg Hunt Areas will be open from 9am-3:30pm and hunts are continuous throughout this time.\nHunts Daily~ Thank you for  entering  the hunt area within 30 minutes of your arrival time\nHunters must use our pick your own bucket to gather up to 25 treat filled eggs in the bucket so all children have a similar amount of eggs.\nPlastic eggs are filled with small toys\, treats and prize slips\nPlease recycle your bucket & eggs here at the farm\nMarshmallow Roasting is available from 10am-3:30pm next to the Egg Hunt Areas and included with Farm Admission.\nRoosteraunt Concession Stand open Weekends 11am-3pm on weekends\nThe Henway Cider Barn open Weekends 11am-5pm – with Bunny Brunch 9am-12noon.\n\nGuidelines for Easter Egg Hunts: \n\nGreat Country Farms will provide each child\, 10 years and younger\, with an egg hunt ticket\, a Great Country Farms U-Pick bucket to use to collect the eggs so each child gets a similar amount. Please do not collect in your own basket. You may place the eggs the children collect from the GCF bucket into your special basket for a photo opportunity after the hunt is over when you recycle your GCF bucket.\nParents are not allowed to help children collect eggs. The egg hunt is for the children. Parent’s please keep your hands in your pockets!\nParents may accompany their child in the 2 & 3yr old hunt area and assist children with their hunt.\nOnly Children are allowed in the 4-10 year old hunt area.  As soon as a child fills a GCF bucket\, they will be guided to show their eggs to their grown ups.\nWe have great photos op areas outside the Egg Hunt Areas.\nIf you have children in two different age groups\, please guide them to the proper hunt.\nDO NOT open the eggs in the hunt areas.  Children should gather their eggs and then open them together with their family outside of the egg hunt areas.\nThere is hard candy in some of the eggs\, so please monitor your little ones after they open the eggs so they don’t eat something you don’t want them to eat.\nWe recycle the  buckets & eggs for the following year . Please put them in our designated Easter Egg recycling bins.
