DESCRIPTION:September may mean back to school for many\, but at Great Country Farms it means back to the farm for all things apple! Join us for our annual Apple Gala Festival\, taking place the whole month of September. \nDaily\, you’ll enjoy apple picking in our orchards filled with over 50 varieties that ripen over time. Most of our trees are dwarf varieties so picking your own is easy for all members of the family. At times\, there could be over 10 varieties available to pick your own at once! \nWe invite you to explore our Stories from The Stars themed corn maze and learn about the constellations of the Zodiac. \nOn weekends\, we add live music\, marshmallow roasting\, Oinkintuky Derby pig races\, and cider pressing demonstrations along with fresh cider samples from The Zurschemeide Family’s antique 1865 cider press. \nThe farm market will be stocked with fresh apple pies\, cider slushies and our popular apple cider donuts from Knead It Bakery. \n  \nExtend your stay by visiting our sister properties Bluemont Vineyard for their Autumn Apple wine and sangria or Henway Hard Cider for farm fresh hard cider and candy apple cider cocktails.\n \nWeekday Admission: $10/child & $12/Adult ~ Advance tickets not required at this time for weekdays. Open weekdays from 10am-5 pm.  Children 2 and under are no charge. Last wagon to the orchard at 4pm. \nSaturday & Sunday Admission~ Advance Tickets are highly RECOMMENDED!   $14/child & $16/adult ~   Open Weekends 9 am-5pm. Last Wagon to orchards at 4:30 pm.
